A relative upstart among the cruise lines, having only been in existence since 2003, Oceania Cruises officially entered the big time in January 2011 with the launch of Marina, its first new-build ship. Sleek, spacious and oh-so-chic, Marina marks a giant step forward for the fledgling upper-premium line.

Our chosen ship, the Oceania Marina, represents the very pinnacle of contemporary excellence in luxury cruising. It successfully blends sophistication and flair to create a country club ambience with an unparalleled level of personalised service. Designed with epicurean and travel connoisseurs in mind, the ship boasts multiple gourmet restaurants all under the supervision of master chefs led by the renowned Jacques Pepin. Intimate lounges abound while the staterooms are incredibly spacious and incorporate lavish bathrooms.

After some negotiation on price we have selected the luxurious Concierge Category A Veranda Staterooms for our group. These staterooms are all 26 sqm in size with private verandas. In our view they provide an unrivalled combination of value and luxury in cruising experience. They have a wealth of luxury amenities and a host of exclusive privileges including the services of a dedicated concierge and access to the private concierge lounge with complimentary snacks and drinks. We have also included a small number of Penthouse Suites in our inventory which are 50% bigger than the Staterooms and come with your very own 24-hour butler. While alcoholic drinks are not included in our package we have secured for everyone an on-board credit of US$200 pp to offset that.

The cruise itinerary from Rome to Barcelona boasts a spectacular menagerie of diverse and interesting ports of call with each day offering the opportunity to explore and experience the history, beauty and culture of a new destination. These include the Mediterranean islands of Sardinia, Corsica and Majorca, along with Tuscany and Cinque Terra in Italy, Cote d’Azur and Provence in France and Valencia in Spain. Of course each day we will be mounting a varied education program to compliment your sightseeing activities.

While our EOI response has exceeded our original booking we are confident we will be able to accommodate everyone who wishes to enjoy this fabulous cruise.
